RIS Rubber embodies the versatility of rubber and the countless forms it can take. For 75 years, we have been developing high-tech solutions for moulded rubber products and rubber-to-metal bondings, often for the marine and offshore sector.
We are an international, specialised manufacturing company with around 230 skilled employees, modern testing facilities and an innovative Research & Development department. As part of Hevea Holding, we have a strong presence in the domestic and international markets.

WHAT WE OFFER
Customisation is our preference when viable, but series production is employed when necessary. Collaboration in finding a solution is central to our approach. We turn your vision and requirements into a finished product. The design model is calculated and analysed using modern design and measurement equipment. Thanks to our two locations – one in the Netherlands (Lelystad) and one in Bulgaria (Kula) – we can deliver top-quality solutions.
Our production facilities are equipped with injection moulding machines and compression moulding machines of various sizes and clamping forces. Additionally, we can develop moulds for every application. In Lelystad, we have specialised machines for smaller production runs and high-quality niche products. In Kula (Bulgaria), we primarily manufacture larger series.

ISO CERTIFIED
Our quality team, QESH – Quality, Environment, Safety, Health – monitors, evaluates and reports daily on whether we are meeting the established standards. Both of our locations are ISO 9001 certified, demonstrating that RIS Rubber’s processes conform to international standards and that we place great importance on continuous improvement. We are proud to have also achieved ISO 14001 certification by optimising our environmental management system. This certification focuses on adequate and sustainable environmental management, addressing how a company responsibly defines, integrates and complies with environmental standards.

A BRIEF HISTORY
RIS Rubber was founded in the 1950s. In 1996, after fifteen years of employment, Henk Rietdijk took over the company shares. His focus was primarily on optimising processes and structures within the business. Two decades later, Wouter, who as a child had often gone to work with his father, took up the rubber baton.
Choosing to work at RIS was a deliberate decision for Wouter. He was deeply fascinated by rubber and its technical possibilities. Wouter describes himself as a rubber enthusiast with a passion for manufacturing, honest entrepreneurship and collaboration – values that are deeply embedded in RIS Rubber’s DNA.
‘Although I wouldn’t call myself a technician, I do excel at finding technical solutions. Bringing customer ideas to fruition is what I find most fulfilling.’
