environmental management
ISO 14001 specifies the requirements of an environmental management system that an organisation can use to improve its environmental performance.
This standard helps us to continuously improve our environmental performance and systematically manage our impact on the environment. For example, we have an extensive waste separation system. We collect vulcanised rubber so that it can be devulcanised elsewhere. This allows the rubber to be reused and reduces the amount of residual waste.
healthy & safe working
NEN-ISO 45001 specifies requirements for a management system for health and safety at work (H&S). By identifying risks in a timely manner and taking preventive measures, we create a working environment in which our people can do their work safely, healthily and with confidence.
Every employee in the factory receives a PPE bucket on their first day of work. This bucket contains all the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required for the job. A safety tour is also conducted on that first day. During this tour, instructions are given on how to use the PPE. In addition to the PPE bucket, you will receive earplugs, safety shoes and customised work clothing. When office staff enter the factory, they also wear safety shoes and earplugs.
Socially Responsible
Social involvement and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are fundamental principles for RIS Rubber. We achieve this by always remaining focused on our working methods and how we treat the environment, our surroundings and our relationships.
To make our CSR efforts concrete and measurable, we use the CSR Performance Ladder – a recognised tool that helps us to structurally embed our social engagement and continuously improve it.
