At RIS Rubber, we continue to innovate and invest to serve all our customers even better. In 2025, we therefore made one of the biggest investments in the history of RIS: the purchase of two new compression presses. Thanks to this expansion of our machinery park, we are increasing our capacity for the larger rubber moulded articles. The goal; to respond even better to increasing demand.
THE TECHNICAL DETAILS
We did the expansion right and big right away. The new presses have an impressive size, with accompanying power. With a sheet area of 1.8 by 1.8 metres, a maximum opening of 1 metre and a closing force of 1,000 tonnes per press, they offer new possibilities for the production of large rubber products. They also improve the efficiency of the production process.
THE PLANNING
The preparatory phase is currently underway, with everything going according to our schedule. Together, the presses weigh no less than 100,000 kilos, so we’ll have to ‘just’ install some extra piles for that… So another big internal move and rebuild this year at RIS Lelystad! Installation of the presses is scheduled for December 2025, and in January 2026 we expect everything to be fully operational. We can hardly wait!
