RIS Rubber was founded in the nineteen-fifties. This international firm specialises in the manufacture of rubber mould products and rubber-to-metal bondings. In 1996, Henk Rietdijk, who had been working for the company since 1981, took over the company shares and, henceforth, focused essentially on optimising the business’s processes and structures. Twenty years later, Wouter Rietdijk – Henk’s son – took over the company from his father, to continue the optimisation process he initiated.

Unique in rubber and steel

As a child, Wouter Rietdijk often joined his father on visits to the business, and ten years ago he made the very deliberate decision to join RIS Rubber. Rubber as a product and its technical possibilities appealed to him: ‘Although I am not a true-blue boffin, finding technical solutions is definitely something that interests me, and realising customers’ wishes absolutely fascinates me.’

Flexible production

RIS Rubber operates production presses of various dimensions and closing force at two locations, so we can develop moulds for many applications. In Lelystad (the Netherlands) we operate machines specifically for smaller series and high-grade niche products. In Kula (Bulgaria) we mainly produce larger series.
