RIS Rubber produces tailor-made products for its customers; in our own factories we manufacture only custom-made rubber products. Our technical rubber products are mostly developed in consultation with the customer. The process may run off in several ways, and we use either the customer’s moulds or our own for production. All products are custom-made, so in almost all cases only one mould needs to be made, which is a one-off investment.

Rubber compound

Rubber mixtures are also called rubber compounds. There are many types and qualities of rubber, such as EPDM, NR, SBR and FKM (Viton), and every compound has its own unique properties, so choosing the right compound is crucial to achieving the required final result. The longstanding experience and expertise of RIS contribute to the choice and production of the most suitable rubber compound. Rubber products or parts can also be produced according to your own specifications on the basis of your blueprint or design.

Production and testing

RIS likes to think along with its customers during the development pathway of any rubber product so that an optimal end result can be achieved. With highly diversified machine parks in our own production facilities in the Netherlands and Bulgaria, we have the right facilities for serial production ranging from single products to greater numbers, but also for rubber items weighing just a few grammes up to products weighing hundreds of kilos.

After the mould has been produced, a sample is made available to the customer for checking and release purposes. We can also test the rubber item with regard to various properties if required. The obvious advantage of testing is that the eventual functionality of the product can be assessed beforehand.
